A company can be classified as a business when it operates for commercial or industrial purposes and seeks profit in exchange for goods or services. Generally, a company will provide products and/or services that are of value to customers in order to generate revenue. This revenue is then used to cover expenses and provide a profit for the owners. There are many different types of businesses that exist, from small operations focused on a single industry to massive corporations that span multiple industries worldwide. Examples of successful businesses include Amazon and Apple.
