What Is Law New?

Law new is legislation that creates or updates policies to address specific needs, reflect the values of constituents and adapt to changing circumstances. The legislative process for drafting, committee review, floor debate and voting provides an opportunity for the public to influence policy through their elected representatives. The process also demonstrates democratic principles of representation and accountability.
